Spoons
Spoons range in size, shape, and style because every piece of cedar is different; unique in its own way and beautiful as well as durable.

Our spoons are carved by Bryan, who whittles them by hand using simple hand tools, and frequently, a razor knife/ box cutter. All the bowls are carved first by gouge and then smoothed by hand sanding or rotary tool. Many require no sanding at all because of their immaculate craftsmanship.

Most of Bryan's spoons are made from red cedar or alligator juniper which, although difficult to carve, are the highest quality materials to be found in the high mountain deserts of the American Southwest where he resides. He only cuts dead trees and only uses the purest sunflower oil to toughen his creations.
This means: Made without chemicals, synthetic wood preservers or toxic resins. This means: Made in the most organic way possible from tree to creation and ethically harvested in the USA.

Spoons range in price with small spice spoons starting at $10.00 and large coffee scoops costing upward of $45.00 Only spoons with many hours of chiseling or intricate designs get up in the hundred dollar range.
